The West Bengal government has enacted a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, assigning new roles to three senior IAS officers. In an order released on Friday night, Additional Chief Secretary Prabhat Kumar Mishra, a 1993-batch IAS officer, has been assigned the Finance Department with additional duties in the Department of Planning and Statistics.

Mishra previously oversaw irrigation and waterways, alongside his additional responsibilities in the Water Resources Investigation and Development Department and Project Director, AIDM.

Meanwhile, the Finance Department's Additional Chief Secretary Manoj Pant has been tasked with irrigation and waterways. Pant, a 1991-batch IAS officer, had earlier managed the Department of Planning and Statistics.

Additional Chief Secretary Roshni Sen, a 1993-batch officer, is now the ACS of the Water Resources Investigation and Development Department and Project Director ADMI, a position previously held by Mishra. Sen will also continue her work in fisheries, aquaculture, and aquatic resources and hold the position of chairman and managing director of the West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation.
