Four police officers, including a sub-inspector, have been suspended in Khar following allegations of planting drugs on a man, Daniel, during a raid.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone XI) Rajtilak Roshan confirmed the suspension after CCTV footage seemingly captured the misconduct. The officers are attached to the Anti-Terror Cell of the Khar police station.
Daniel was detained on an open plot in Kalina, where he claimed the police threatened to frame him under the NDPS Act. Following the CCTV revelation, he was released. An associate alleged a builder's involvement in the targeting over a land dispute.
