Hezbollah Responds to Deadly Israeli Strike on Lebanese Paramedics
An Israeli attack killed three Lebanese paramedics and wounded two others in Faroun. The Lebanese health ministry condemned the incident. Hezbollah retaliated with missile strikes on Israeli positions. The escalating conflict has displaced thousands along the Lebanese-Israeli border.
In a tragic turn of events, three Lebanese paramedics lost their lives and two others were injured, one critically, in an Israeli attack while they were fighting fires in Faroun, southern Lebanon, the health ministry announced on Saturday.
The ministry's statement highlighted that Israeli forces targeted a Lebanese Civil Defence team responding to fires ignited by recent airstrikes, hitting a fire truck. The attack was condemned as a 'blatant strike' on a Lebanese state apparatus, marking the second assault on an emergency team within 12 hours.
Israel's military has not commented on the matter. Meanwhile, Hezbollah declared the launch of a 'squadron of missiles' at Israel's 91st Division headquarters in retaliation, stating they targeted offices and soldiers. The escalating Hezbollah-Israel conflict, ignited by Hamas' attack on Israel, has displaced tens of thousands along the border.
