Youth Allegedly Rapes Seven-Year-Old Girl at Poultry Farm in Chhattisgarh

A seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a young man at a poultry farm in Chhattisgarh’s Balod district. The accused, known to the victim’s parents, fled the scene after committing the crime. The police have registered a case and are actively searching for the suspect.

According to preliminary information, the accused is acquainted with the victim's parents and works at the same poultry farm, whereas the girl's parents are laborers on a nearby farm.

The crime took place on Monday evening in a secluded spot under the jurisdiction of the Gurur police station area. The accused fled the scene after the incident, leaving the girl to return home on her own. Her parents, upon noticing her distress, were informed about the crime by their child.

The case was promptly registered after the parents approached the police on Monday night, leading various teams to initiate a search for the accused. He has been charged under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, according to official reports.
