Delhi Police has granted 'Z' security cover to Atishi, days after she assumed office as the Chief Minister of Delhi, official sources disclosed on Wednesday.
On Saturday, Atishi was provided a convoy including a pilot by the Delhi Police. According to protocol, the Chief Minister of Delhi is entitled to 'Z' category security on the directives of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The 'Z' category security encompasses 22 personnel working in shifts and involves PSOs, escorts, and armed guards. A police source mentioned that her security could be further reviewed by central agencies based on threat assessments from the MHA.
