Tragedy in Delhi: Reckless Driver Hits and Kills Undercover Constable
A Delhi constable disguised as a civilian was fatally struck and dragged by a reckless car driver he had admonished. A Delhi constable disguised as a civilian was tragically killed by a reckless driver near Veena Enclave early Sunday morning. The incident unfolded around 2.15 am when 30-year-old Sandeep, on duty, noticed a car driving dangerously and warned the driver.
In a sudden turn of events, the vehicle increased its speed, hitting Sandeep's motorcycle and dragging him for about 10 metres before crashing into a parked car. Despite being rushed to Sonia Hospital and then Balaji Hospital in Paschim Vihar, Sandeep succumbed to his head injuries.
Footage of the incident has surfaced on social media, showing two men on another motorcycle checking on the constable after the crash. Police have registered a case under Section 103 (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and are actively seeking the two absconding suspects. Sandeep leaves behind his mother, wife, and a five-year-old son. The Delhi Police mourns the loss of their colleague.
