Union Commerce and Industry Minister, Shri Piyush Goyal, held pivotal meetings with business leaders and the Indian diaspora during his visit to New York, emphasizing opportunities for collaboration and investment in India.

On the second day of his visit to the United States, Minister Goyal met with prominent investors, including BlackRock COO Mr. Robert Goldstein, Systems Technology Group Chairman and CEO Mr. Anup Popat, Tillman Holdings CEO Mr. Sanjiv Ahuja, C4V CEO Mr. Shailesh Upreti, and Janus Henderson Investors CEO Mr. Ali Dibadj. The discussions focused on positioning India as a global manufacturing hub and invited these leading investors to expand their commercial and trade operations in the country. Minister Goyal also sought their insights on enhancing the ease of doing business in India.

A luncheon meeting was conducted with members of the US India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF), where Minister Goyal reiterated the government's commitment to improving the ease of doing business, developing infrastructure, implementing IPR reforms, and prioritizing manufacturing sectors through tailored incentive schemes. Investors expressed optimism regarding India's new policies, aimed at fostering innovation, job creation, and sustainable industrial growth.

During his visit, Minister Goyal also participated in a productive discussion with members of Indiaspora, a nonprofit organization, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) chapters from New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. The dialogue centered on the global strength of the Indian diaspora and the vast opportunities it presents for India's economic growth and development.

Additionally, the Minister attended an insightful engagement with key business leaders from the Gems and Jewellery industry, organized by the Consulate General of India (CGI) in New York. Highlighting India's status as a major player in the global market, Minister Goyal emphasized the potential for enhanced collaboration, investment, and innovation in the sector. This interaction marks a significant step toward strengthening ties between the two markets, unlocking new avenues for mutual benefit and development.
