A 37-year-old man has been apprehended in Itanagar for allegedly molesting multiple school and college girls, according to police statements on Thursday.

The suspect, from Nuna Camp village in Dirang, West Kameng district, was arrested following a complaint filed at Itanagar's women police station, said Superintendent of Police Rohit Rajbir Singh.

The incident came to light after a 14-year-old girl was molested on September 7, revealing a series of similar assaults targeting girls in the area.
