NIA Cracks 2022 Coimbatore Blast Case with New Arrests

The National Investigation Agency has arrested three individuals in connection with the 2022 Coimbatore car bomb blast, revealing a terror financing angle. The accused, linked to ISIS ideology, allegedly funded the attack. This arrest raises the total apprehended in the case to 18, with several charge sheets already filed.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday made significant headway in the 2022 Coimbatore car bomb blast case, arresting three more individuals alleged to be involved.

Aboo Hanifa, Saran Mariappan, and Pavas Rahman have been detained for their purported role in funding the terror attack, the NIA confirmed.

The total number of arrests has now reached 18, underscoring extensive efforts to unravel the ISIS-linked terror plot that shook Coimbatore last year.
