This directive was issued by Justices A K Jayasankaran Nambiar and Syam Kumar V M during a hearing on a case that the court initiated following the July 30 landslides in Wayanad.
While the state government confirmed the continuation of a daily financial support scheme, a central committee is evaluating whether to classify the event as a national disaster, with the matter scheduled for further discussion on November 15.
