In a breach of trust, Raul Randhawa, a Singaporean of Indian origin, was sentenced to four months in prison on Wednesday. He confessed to misusing a corporate credit card for personal expenses.

Randhawa, 44, served as a risk and controls officer at an insurance firm, earning over SGD 11,000 a month. Despite his substantial income, Randhawa executed 27 unauthorized transactions totaling SGD 29,674.

The transactions included personal expenses, which Randhawa has since fully reimbursed. The court has set his bail at SGD 10,000, and he is expected to commence his sentence on November 13, as per The Straits Times.
