In a swift operation, Jhansi district police successfully rescued a man named Lallu Chaubey, held hostage for a ransom demand of Rs 3 lakh.
The operation, which unfolded on Saturday, led to the arrest of three suspects, including a woman, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mushtaq confirmed to PTI.
Officials revealed the gang's modus operandi, using women to lure victims. Authorities have initiated Gangster Act proceedings, aiming to dismantle the criminal network.
