Officer K. Gopalakrishnan faced suspension for establishing a WhatsApp group with a religious orientation for government officials, while N. Prasanth was penalized for his social media criticism of a superior IAS officer.
The Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, ordered the suspension following a detailed report submitted by senior officials regarding the misconduct.
