Manipur's Path to Unity: CM N Biren Singh Calls for Collective Effort

Manipur's Chief Minister, N Biren Singh, has called upon Naga organizations in the Senapati district to aid in restoring peace in the violence-stricken state. He stressed that the government is striving to promote unity during a cultural event, Robvena Ni, held in Punanamei village.

Highlighting the importance of reconciliation and forgiveness, Singh hailed the significant role of the Senapati district's Naga bodies in safeguarding the state's unity. He elaborated on initiatives, including the Go-to-Hills campaign, aimed at fostering interaction and government accessibility for hill residents.

Singh also discussed efforts to address indigenous rights amid growing unrecognized settlements, a population count of major tribes, and the consequences thereof. He reaffirmed the state's commitment to initiatives like the war on drugs and a Rs 140-crore unity mall project to integrate diverse ethnic groups.
