Trump and Musk Team Up to Restructure Federal Workforce
President Donald Trump has enlisted the help of Elon Musk to identify government inefficiencies and restructure federal workforce operations. This initiative includes significant layoffs and reshaping of agency functions, with a focus on reducing waste and aligning governmental operations with Trump's policy priorities.

President Donald Trump, alongside Elon Musk, has set forth a new initiative to streamline the federal workforce by targeting inefficiencies and redundancies. The order, signed Tuesday, mandates that U.S. agencies collaborate with Musk to lay off non-essential employees and identify functions that can be wholly eliminated.
During the Oval Office event, Musk, accompanied by his young son, reiterated his commitment to reshaping what he described as an 'unconstitutional' governmental structure. Despite criticisms regarding transparency and conflicts of interest, Musk remains steadfast, promising up to $1 trillion in savings through this downsizing effort.
The initiative faces legal challenges and union resistance, with many pointing to potential conflicts of interest due to Musk's business ties. However, Trump and Musk continue to advocate for the reforms as a necessary response to public demand for a more efficient government.
