The Delhi High Court has requested the position of AAP leader Amanatullah Khan concerning the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) appeal. The appeal challenges a trial court's refusal to take cognisance of a chargesheet against Khan in a money laundering investigation tied to the Delhi Waqf Board.
Justice Vikas Mahajan issued a notice to Khan, the AAP MLA from Okhla, and scheduled the matter for further proceedings on March 21. The trial court was asked to defer its ongoing proceedings until the high court session.
The ED claims that Khan was involved in laundering money gained through alleged corruption in the Delhi Waqf Board. This investigation follows earlier FIRs linked to alleged irregularities and disproportionate assets recorded by the CBI and Delhi Police's anti-corruption unit.
