The Himachal Pradesh unit of the BJP has leveled serious allegations against the state's Congress government, accusing it of diverting Central funds allocated under the PM Gati Shakti scheme. According to BJP state vice president Rajeev Saizal, these funds were improperly used to construct a costly boundary wall for Indo Farm Equipment Ltd in Solan district.
Saizal claims that this financial mismanagement signifies a misuse of funds aimed at improving public infrastructure and seamless connectivity. The contentious decision to allocate Rs 8.75 crore for this project, while public development bodies received significantly less, has raised questions about the government's priorities.
Adding to the controversy, the BJP points out that the private company, which received the land as part of a lucrative auto park project, has not fulfilled its commitments, including job creation and industrial activity, further intensifying calls for government accountability.
