Sanjay Singh's No-Show: MCC Violation Case Delayed

Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh missed court proceedings in a Model Code of Conduct violation case due to Rajya Sabha commitments. The case, involving a public meeting during panchayat elections, also accuses 13 others of violations. With all accused on bail, the hearing is rescheduled for February 25.

MCC violation case proceedings against AAP MP Sanjay Singh were delayed as he missed the court appearance due to Rajya Sabha obligations. His legal team indicated his engagement at the Parliament as a valid reason for his absence.

The case dates back to April 13, 2021, concerning a public meeting held in Hasanpur during the panchayat elections, where Singh and 13 others allegedly violated the MCC and the Epidemic Act.

With court plans to frame charges, the next hearing is now set for February 25. All accused, including Singh, currently hold bail.
