In a move that has raised serious concerns, two police officers in Arunachal Pradesh's Kra Daadi district have been suspended following allegations of drug use. Senior officials confirmed the suspension on Friday.
The officers were captured alongside two civilians during a police operation at a meat shop in Palin, which serves as the district headquarters. During the raid, authorities seized two vials containing a suspected illegal substance weighing 2.24 grams.
Kra Daadi Superintendent of Police, Sepraj Perme, reported that the main suspect in the drug supply chain managed to escape, taking advantage of darkness and heavy rain. The department has launched a detailed investigation to get to the bottom of the case.
