In a chilling twist to the Beed sarpanch murder case, brother of deceased Santosh Deshmukh, Dhananjay Deshmukh, has leveled serious allegations against individuals allegedly aiding an arrested suspect, Walmik Karad. He claims these individuals continue to roam free, despite their alleged involvement.
According to Dhananjay, a so-called 'B Team' of Karad, who is a close associate of Maharashtra minister Dhananjay Munde, remains active. This group is purportedly offering continued support to Karad and others implicated in the crime. The Deshmukh family has reportedly informed investigative agencies but is still seeking concrete answers.
Deshmukh's murder, occurring as he attempted to halt a potential extortion plot against an energy firm, has seen seven arrests thus far. However, the alleged mastermind, Krushna Andhale, evades capture. As political tensions rise, Minister Munde, facing flak from both opposition and allies, has distanced himself from the scandal.
