Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has underscored the need for a structured roadmap to achieve water sufficiency in India by 2047. Addressing the second All India Conference of State Water Ministers in Udaipur, Sharma highlighted the significance of water conservation techniques and cooperation among states.
Sharma expressed gratitude towards Union Jal Shakti Minister CR Patil, emphasizing the collaborative nature of water management. He acknowledged Prime Minister Modi's efforts in making water management a topic of coordination and cooperation, thanks to initiatives like the Jal Jeevan Mission.
Union Minister Patil highlighted ongoing efforts under Prime Minister Modi's vision for a water-secure nation by 2047. The Jal Jeevan Mission now provides clean drinking water to 15 crore households. Additionally, projects like the Ramjal Setu Project aim to enhance water access in Rajasthan.
