Constables Convicted: Attempted Murder of Senior Officer Unveiled

Four police constables have been convicted for attempting to murder senior officer Kalpana Saxena in 2010. The incident occurred when they were allegedly extorting money and attempted to run Saxena over. The court has sent them to jail, with sentencing to be announced on February 24.

A local court has delivered a verdict convicting four police constables of attempting to murder a senior woman officer.

Special Judge Suresh Kumar Gupta found constables Ravindra, Manoj Kumar, Ravindra Singh, and Dharmendra guilty after a detailed hearing. The constables were immediately taken into custody.

The crime dates back to 2010 when officer Kalpana Saxena received reports of extortion by the constables. Following an encounter, the constables fled and in the ensuing chase, attempted to run over Saxena. An FIR led to their suspension and subsequent conviction.
