PM Modi Assures Support in Telangana Tunnel Rescue Operation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has pledged support to Telangana's Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for the SLBC tunnel rescue operation. Eight personnel are trapped, prompting the deployment of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). State ministers oversee current efforts to secure expert assistance.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi contacted Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday, offering assurances of full support from the Centre for the ongoing rescue operation following an incident in which eight personnel were trapped in the SLBC tunnel.

During their conversation, Chief Minister Reddy briefed Modi on current rescue efforts and noted the presence of state ministers N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Jupally Krishna Rao at the site, actively overseeing operations.

Modi confirmed that the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) would be dispatched immediately, reinforcing the Centre's commitment to aid the Telangana government's rescue mission. Efforts involve expert consultation and assistance from the Indian Army.
