Manipur Governor's Progress Review and IT Centre Inauguration

Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla visited Kangpokpi and Senapati districts to review development schemes and inaugurate IT centres. He engaged with local officials and civil society representatives, discussing projects like Jal Jeevan Mission and national highway developments, and addressing law and order and administrative challenges.

Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla embarked on a significant visit to the districts of Kangpokpi and Senapati, focusing on the evaluation of ongoing development schemes and the inauguration of new Information Technology (IT) centres, according to a statement from Raj Bhavan released on Saturday.

During his visit to Kangpokpi district, Governor Bhalla inspected Presidency College where he launched an IT Centre, engaging with students on the college campus. A crucial meeting was chaired by him in the district headquarters, involving the Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, and other local officials to assess the effective implementation of various schemes including the Jal Jeevan Mission and projects under the New Development Bank.

Bhalla also evaluated the progress of national highway projects with NHIDCL officials and explored the law and order situation in Senapati district, where he inaugurated another IT Centre at the Deputy Commissioner's office. His discussions extended to civil society organizations addressing administrative grievances, as per the Raj Bhavan statement.
