Fadnavis Clears 109 Appointments, Rejects 'Fixers'

In a key announcement, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis confirmed the approval of 109 appointments for personal secretaries or officers on special duty, rejecting 16 due to ongoing inquiries or dubious reputations. Fadnavis addressed remarks from Agriculture Minister Manikrao Kokate over appointment prerogatives, clarifying that while ministers can propose candidates, the ultimate decision lies with his office. He issued a call for strict adherence to government protocols.

The Chief Minister also highlighted concerns over illegal constructions near Mumbai, pledging court intervention to curb these practices. On the Shaktipeeth Project, he assured stakeholders that land acquisition would remain voluntary, emphasizing government's respect for all parties involved.
