Security Forces Unite for Counter-Terrorism Strategy in Chenab Valley

In a concerted effort to disrupt the terror ecosystem in Chenab Valley, senior security officials gathered in Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district on Tuesday. The meeting focused on various strategies, including integrating ex-servicemen into existing defense frameworks, to counter recent incidents of terror in the region.

Led by Major General A P S Bal, the security review was held at Dharmund military garrison. The discussion was aimed at leveraging the specialized skills of ex-servicemen to bolster village defenses in the region. Prominent attendees included Inspector General of Police, Jammu zone, Bhim Sen Tuti, and Inspector General of CRPF R. Gopala Krishna Rao.

Participants deliberated on security protocols, support systems for terrorists, and the coordination needed between different security and intelligence agencies. This meeting marked a crucial step toward enhancing cooperation among the army, local police, and intelligence agencies, striving for a unified response to terrorism threats across the Doda, Kishtwar, and Ramban regions.
