Constable Arrested for Sexual Assault: Justice Betrayed

A police constable, Arun Thonepa, from Bommanahalli police station, was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl. Pretending to help her get justice for a previous assault by a neighbor, he allegedly committed the crime and threatened her. Both the neighbor and constable are now in custody.

A shocking case has emerged from Bommanahalli where a police constable, Arun Thonepa, was arrested following allegations of sexual assault against a minor.

The 17-year-old victim had previously reported an assault by her neighbor. Thonepa, under the guise of assisting her in seeking justice, instead allegedly exploited the situation.

Authorities have swiftly acted by arresting both the accused neighbor and the constable, pending further investigation. Thonepa has been suspended from duty amidst widespread outrage over the betrayal of trust.
