Delhi Assembly Debate: CCTV Camera Installation Controversy

Delhi's Public Works Department Minister Parvesh Verma declared a probe into the absence of CCTV cameras in eight constituencies overseen by BJP MLAs during the tenure of the AAP government. The announcement followed claims of unfair treatment voiced by BJP members in the Delhi Assembly.

Amidst debates, Vishwas Nagar MLA, OP Sharma, called for a Central Vigilance Commission investigation, highlighting discrepancies in installations. He pointed out his constituency was overlooked, demanding accountability.

Responding to concerns, Verma confirmed a comprehensive investigation would delve into the matter, ensuring officers found culpable would face penalties. He reassured the Assembly that CCTV implementation would soon cover the neglected constituencies.
