In his communication to EU leaders, Costa underscored the bloc's willingness to assume greater responsibility for European security. 'We should therefore be prepared for a possible European contribution to the security guarantees that will be necessary to ensure a lasting peace in Ukraine,' Costa noted.
The EU summit, chaired by Costa, will focus on developing decisions to enhance the EU's capacity to manage immediate and future security challenges, reinforcing the region's stability and resilience.
