A Delhi court has made a pivotal move in the legal matters concerning the 26/11 terror attacks by requesting trial records from a Mumbai court. The request comes as preparations are being finalized for the extradition of Tahawwur Hussain Rana, the alleged mastermind behind the attacks.

This directive, issued by District Judge Vimal Kumar Yadav, aims to retrieve crucial documents previously sent to Mumbai. The transfer of records was initially due to the existence of multiple related cases across both cities.

The request aligns with a recent decision by a US court, which has given a green light for Rana’s extradition to India, where he faces charges for his alleged involvement in the notorious 2008 attacks orchestrated by Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists.
