Russia and China Forge Unprecedented Relations

Sergei Shoigu, Russia's Security Council secretary, informed Chinese President Xi Jinping about the extraordinary high level of Russia-China relations. Shoigu emphasized that their strategic partnership, reaffirmed just before Russia's Ukraine invasion, is not aimed against other nations. Meetings with China's foreign minister preceded this announcement.

Sergei Shoigu, the secretary of Russia's Security Council, announced to Chinese President Xi Jinping that the relationship between Russia and China has reached unprecedented levels, according to the TASS news agency.

During his visit to Beijing, where Shoigu also met with the Chinese foreign minister, he stressed that the partnership between the two nations does not target any other countries.

This declaration comes on the back of a 'no limits' strategic partnership, which was declared just before Russia's incursion into Ukraine in early 2022.
