Sergei Shoigu, the secretary of Russia's Security Council, announced to Chinese President Xi Jinping that the relationship between Russia and China has reached unprecedented levels, according to the TASS news agency.
During his visit to Beijing, where Shoigu also met with the Chinese foreign minister, he stressed that the partnership between the two nations does not target any other countries.
This declaration comes on the back of a 'no limits' strategic partnership, which was declared just before Russia's incursion into Ukraine in early 2022.
