In a significant operation, the Punjab Police have captured an elusive international drug dealer, Shehnaz Singh, who was on the FBI's most-wanted list. Singh played a crucial role in a sweeping global narcotics syndicate, as disclosed by officials on Monday.

Shehnaz Singh, who also goes by Shawn Bhinder, was successfully apprehended by the Tarn Taran Police. He was a central figure in a network that trafficked cocaine from Colombia into the United States and Canada, as affirmed by Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav in a statement posted on social media platform X.

This arrest aligns with the Punjab government's intensive anti-drug initiative 'Yudh Nashian Virudh,' which aims to eradicate drug menace within three months. The operation's success follows the recent capture of four of Singh's associates in the United States, where authorities seized large quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine.
