International Cocaine Bust: Nigerian and South African Arrested in Navi Mumbai

In a significant drug bust, Navi Mumbai police apprehended two foreign nationals for allegedly possessing cocaine valued at Rs 20.65 lakh. The individuals, identified as Ifeanyi Uzoma Osond from Nigeria and Sazini Memory Gama from South Africa, were arrested during a raid on a flat in Koprogaon, Vashi on March 7.
The authorities seized 51.64 grams of the illicit drug, intensifying their crackdown on drug trafficking networks. The accused have been charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, as confirmed by an official from the APMC police station.
Investigations are underway to unravel the extent of their operations and connections within the drug peddling network. The arrest highlights ongoing efforts to combat the infiltration of illegal substances in the region.
