In a dramatic turn of events, two National Conference leaders were expelled from the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly on Monday. The incident unfolded as they protested, seeking to spotlight the disappearance of three youths from the Devsar constituency in the Kulgam district.
The issue was brought to the forefront by NC leader and MLA Peerzada Feroze Ahmad Shah, who demanded attention be given to the missing individuals. Shah detailed that the youths vanished following a marriage celebration, with their last known activity involving a mobile phone switch-off in the Mir Bazar area.
Despite Shah's efforts to address the assembly, he was barred from speaking, prompting a protest. The assembly's watch and ward staff subsequently escorted him and fellow NC MLA Kangan Mian Mehar Ali out. Outside the House, Shah expressed his frustrations to the press, emphasizing the urgency of the situation and reporting ongoing police efforts to track the missing youths. The assembly session also saw MLA Sheikh Khursheed removed for additional disruptions.
