The Durg Police have registered an FIR concerning a disruption and stoning of a vehicle belonging to the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The vehicle was part of an ED team that conducted a raid at the residence of former Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel, targeting his son Chaitanya in a money laundering investigation related to an alleged liquor scam.

The complaint was lodged at the 'Old Bhilai' police station by the driver of the private vehicle involved in the incident. The ED had executed searches at Baghel's residence in Bhilai's Mansarovar Colony and 13 other locations in Durg, seizing approximately Rs 30 lakh in cash and several documents during the eight-hour operation.

Durg Police have charged Sunny Agarwal and 15-20 others under multiple sections, including rioting and unlawful assembly, following claims that protestors obstructed the vehicle. Congress has criticized the raids, calling them a political conspiracy coinciding with the Parliament's Budget session. Chaitanya Baghel is likely to be called in for questioning.
