Explosive Bust: ATS Nabs Tractor Driver with Illegal Stockpile

The Anti-Terrorism Squad in Maharashtra apprehended a tractor driver carrying 93 gelatin sticks and detonators without legal permits. The arrest occurred in Latur district's Ausa tehsil, following a tip-off, leading to the seizure of explosives and arrest at Ausa police station.

Maharashtra's Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) successfully apprehended a tractor driver accused of illegally transporting explosive materials, including 93 gelatin sticks and four electric detonators, according to official reports on Tuesday.

The arrest came after a well-coordinated operation in Latur district's Ausa tehsil, sparked by a tip-off. Around 2 pm on Monday, a special ATS team intercepted the vehicle in the Devangra farm area, uncovering a significant cache of materials like wires and a compressor engine.

Rahul Balaji Dhabale, the tractor driver, was unable to present any legal documentation for the explosives, leading to his arrest. Consequently, legal proceedings have ensued with a case registered at the Ausa police station.
