In a major achievement under the Jal Jeevan Mission, Haryana has successfully provided drinking water connections to all residential areas across the state, confirmed state public health engineering minister Ranbir Gangwa. Speaking in the Assembly, Gangwa highlighted that the project has covered 30.41 lakh houses at a cost of Rs 37.89 crore.
Minister of State for Sports, Gaurav Gautam, disclosed that from 2018 to 2024, Rs 428.82 crore in prize money has been distributed to 9,202 eligible athletes. The sports department aims to continue incentivizing sports talent in Haryana with remaining funds set to be disbursed soon.
In health sector developments, Health Minister Arti Singh Rao announced plans to upgrade Loharu's sub-divisional civil hospital from 50 to 100 beds, with construction beginning shortly. Additionally, Mines and Geology Minister Krishan Lal Panwar assured ongoing efforts to curb illegal mining activities in the state.
