Tragic End: Love Triangle Turns Deadly in Kota

A chilling incident occurred in Rajasthan’s Kota district where a 30-year-old allegedly strangled his 22-year-old girlfriend, mere months before her impending wedding to another man, law enforcement disclosed on Thursday.

The victim, identified as Priti Sain, was discovered dead on the rooftop of the accused’s residence, adjacent to her family's home in Kalarewa village. She reportedly visited the location upon the accused’s request to meet once more before her marriage.

After preliminary inquiries indicated a prolonged romantic involvement between Priti and the suspect, Shaitan Rao, and following an autopsy, authorities detained Rao. A murder charge has been filed under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, with investigators not discarding potential additional charges as post-mortem results are awaited.
