In a shocking incident, four activists of the Kerala Students Union (KSU) have been apprehended after allegedly attacking a fellow student from Ottapalam NSS College. The incident appears to have been triggered by the victim's comment on a Facebook post related to a college festival video.
According to the police report, the attack was brutal and involved an attempt to strangle the victim with a metal wire. The law enforcement stated that these students, who hold positions within the KSU, unleashed violence upon the second-year history student on Monday afternoon.
The suspects, arrested late on Monday, face several serious charges including wrongful restraint, voluntarily causing hurt, and attempt to commit culpable homicide. Meanwhile, the injured student remains hospitalized, receiving medical attention.
