A devastating fire tore through a warehouse owned by the Tribal Development Corporation in Maharashtra's Palghar district, obliterating approximately 100 tonnes of food grains early Tuesday, according to local officials.
Fortunately, there were no reports of injuries resulting from the fire, which broke out in the pre-dawn hours. The swift response of water tankers and local fire engines helped contain the blaze.
Vivekanand Kadam, head of the Palghar district's disaster management cell, confirmed that firefighters managed to extinguish the flames within two hours. The origins of the fire are still under investigation.
