Operation Abhyaas: Civil Preparedness in Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh held a massive civil defence drill, Operation Abhyaas, across five districts to simulate emergency scenarios. The exercise involved activities like mock raids, rescue operations, and blackouts. Officials emphasized public safety and citizen awareness amidst rising tensions with Pakistan, following a terrorist attack in Pahalgam.

In a bid to bolster civil defense preparedness, Madhya Pradesh orchestrated a large-scale mock drill named Operation Abhyaas across Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, and Katni.

Officials reported activities simulating air raids, bomb blasts, and emergency evacuations to ensure swift public response in actual crisis scenarios. The drills, conducted amid heightened tensions with Pakistan, followed the tragic Pahalgam terror attack that resulted in 26 civilian deaths.

Civil defence protocols, reviewed by state leaders including Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, underscored public safety and national interests as paramount. Citizens were informed about safety measures, while district administrations were put on high alert.
