The Phalodi administration is proactively preparing for any emergency arising from a possible cross-border strike at a local airbase. Hospitals have been instructed to maintain continuous power supply, and ensure abundant provisions of water and fuel. Additionally, local shops and hotels are required to close by 10 pm.
District Collector Harji Lal Atal emphasized community cooperation with government directives. All government employees' leaves are canceled, with staff summoned back to duty. Plans are underway to reserve approximately 450 beds across 26 hospitals for any emergent situations.
To bolster emergency preparedness, blood stock is secured and medical equipment like ambulances and oxygen cylinders are on standby. Emergency shelters are established in about 25 buildings in Phalodi and Bap, as well as on the IGNP premises, ensuring readiness in the face of potential crises.
