Bahrain and Kuwait intensified preparations on Sunday amidst fears that the U.S.-Iran conflict could escalate and impact their territories. Bahrain, home to the 5th Fleet, has urged citizens to minimize road usage, while Kuwait has established shelters in a government complex to protect its people following U.S. strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities.

Following the strikes on three primary nuclear locations in Iran by U.S. forces, President Donald Trump cautioned Tehran against retaliating or facing further severe attacks. Iran, in response, had previously indicated it could target American interests in the region, including military bases in Bahrain and Kuwait.

In a move to mitigate risks, Bahrain directed 70% of its government workforce to operate remotely, citing rising tensions. The Bahraini government activated a national emergency center, while Kuwait's finance ministry announced the creation of safety shelters in its ministries complex to address potential threats.
