The Delhi Police intensified security measures in the Mangolpuri locality of outer Delhi amid the ongoing demolition of an illegal part of a mosque, confirmed officials on Wednesday.
An official mentioned that police teams are strategically placed across the locality, effectively transforming it into a virtual stronghold to ensure law and order around the Y Block area.
Additional paramilitary forces have also been deployed as a preventive step to avert any potential disruptions, the official added. The demolition process, instigated by a Delhi High Court ruling, commenced on June 22, focusing solely on unauthorized constructions.
