In a disturbing case, the Kerala police have detained a couple after the skeletal remains of two newborn babies were discovered. The man, reportedly intoxicated, arrived at the Pudukad police station with a bag containing the remains, claiming the infants died in separate incidents.
The police, launching an immediate investigation, have taken both the man and the woman into custody. According to the woman, the first baby allegedly died naturally due to complications during birth. However, the second newborn's death is being treated as murder after the woman admitted to suffocating the child, authorities stated.
The couple, who reportedly began their relationship on Facebook in 2020, are now under intense scrutiny, with police investigating familial awareness of the pregnancies. The case emerged following relationship tensions and suspicions of potential infidelity, leading the man to alert the authorities.
