Security Breach: Unintended Intrusion in Kerala CM's Convoy

Five men were detained after accidentally entering the convoy of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Despite being warned, their vehicle joined the high-security line near Elathur. The men, from various districts, were found to have no criminal records and were subsequently released on station bail.

In a security-related incident, five men found themselves in custody after mistakenly driving into the convoy of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The event took place near Elathur around 10 p.m. on Sunday as the convoy was en route to a government guest house.

Authorities reported that despite multiple warnings, the vehicle entered the highly secure convoy. The police intercepted the vehicle at West Hill Chungam, detaining the five men who were inside. Upon questioning, the individuals explained they were electrical workers commuting from Kannur to Palakkad.

All men involved were identified as hailing from the districts of Kannur, Malappuram, and Palakkad. The police confirmed they had no prior criminal records, and all were eventually released on station bail after being initially held in preventive custody.
