Authorities have uncovered a suspected radicalisation network after a 15-year-old Dalit girl from Uttar Pradesh escaped a coercive plot involving religious conversion and potential terrorist recruitment. The girl, abducted from her village in Phoolpur on May 8, managed to flee her captors in Kerala and reach out to her mother, prompting police action and arrests.

DCP Kuldeep Singh Gunawat reported that the minor was saved with the assistance of local police in Thrissur, Kerala. She was allegedly recruited by a 19-year-old woman, Darkhsha Bano, and her accomplice, Mohammed Kaif, who have since been detained. The girl, now in protective custody, revealed that other minors were also targeted by the same group.

Investigations suggest the involvement of an organised syndicate aiming to mislead and radicalise minors for anti-national activities. Several police teams have been deployed to trace further connections in this concerning case of child exploitation and radicalisation. The community remains on high alert as authorities work to ensure the safety of potential future targets.
