In a significant move, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has announced the creation of special cells within the LG Secretariat and Chief Secretary's office to address the grievances of families affected by terrorism. These families, whose cases were allegedly ignored for years, will now have their concerns prioritized.
The lieutenant governor has also directed deputy commissioners and senior superintendents of police to reopen previously buried cases, file new FIRs, and provide jobs to the next of kin of victims. This initiative seeks to rectify the injustices faced by families whose loved ones were killed by Pakistan-backed terrorists.
Moreover, efforts will be made to reclaim properties and lands usurped by terrorists and their sympathizers. Sinha assured the victim families that justice will be served and underscored the government's commitment to bringing the truth to light, highlighting that the voices of terror victims must be heard.
