Defence Estates Office Reclaims Land Amid Anti-Encroachment Drive

The Defence Estates Office has embarked on a major anti-encroachment initiative targeting unauthorized occupations on defence land. Recently, officials reclaimed approximately five acres of land, valued at Rs 165 crore, in Delhi Cantonment's Brar Square.

Varun Kalia, the Defence Estates Officer of the Delhi Circle, emphasized that defence land is a strategic national asset, and safeguarding it is a paramount priority. The ongoing operations aim to clear such land for appropriate national use.

More enforcement actions are planned, including additional reclamations, as the DEO continues to collaborate with stakeholders to protect these vital assets.
