In a sensational claim, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has accused Bihar's ruling party JD(U), led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, of plotting a Rs 1,000 crore scheme through the state's Rural Works Department ahead of upcoming elections.
Yadav, who made his allegations public via his X handle, cited a news report suggesting that Rural Works Department Minister Ashok Choudhary and BJP's Deputy Chief Minister had a heated dispute during an NDA legislators' meeting.
The opposition leader pointed to rampant mismanagement and alleged corruption in state projects, particularly targeting the CM's 'Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal' scheme as an example of institutionalized corruption. The government, he claims, is facilitating an environment ripe for corruption as they cling to power.
